🔥 Which Sleeping Posture Is Healthier: Supine, Prone, or Side?
Sleeping on your back relaxes the body but may cause qi and blood to dissipate; pairing it with the "Huiyang Lie" can improve cold hands and feet. Sleeping on your stomach easily compresses the heart and lungs and increases cardiac burden, making it especially unsuitable for elderly people with cardiovascular or cerebrovascular diseases. Side sleeping helps consolidate qi and blood and calm the mind, making it suitable for most people. Right-side sleeping is recommended as it does not compress the heart and aids digestion. The body should form an arc shape, paying attention to "emptying the mind and filling the abdomen" to aid sleep.
